JILL GEORGE
JILL GEORGE, PH.D. is a historical researcher author, and industrial psychologist who specializes in novels about the Victorian era in London and Cornwall, U.K. She writes to rebalance history, leveraging women’s successes and the men who supported—and sometimes tried to undermine or downplay—these successes. The second book in the series is a continuation of the historical gothic romance thriller of Effy and William Carlyon set in Falmouth in majestic Cornwall, U.K. Jill has also written the American Fiction Award Finalist for historical fiction Illuminating Darwin: Arabella’s Light (2023), which also received editor’s pick awards from Publisher’s Weekly and Kirkus, as well as The Light Among Us: The Elizabeth Carne Story, Cornwall (2022), both receiving five stars from five reviewers at Readers’
